Organoids are three-dimensional cultures derived from adult stem cells or pluripotent stem cells grown in vitro. Compared to other in vitro and in vivo models, organoids can closely mimic the structure, molecular subtypes, and physiological cell composition of tissues. They have been widely used in studies of disease mechanisms, high-throughput drug screening, new drug development, and personalized treatments.
To address the challenges of organoid culture, bioGenous has been offering organoid technology training programs since October 2022. The sixth session of the bioGenous Organoid Technology Training Course was successfully concluded on February 16, 2023, after two days of intensive learning and practical training.
Let’s take a look back at this successful training session.
The program combined theory and hands-on practice, covering organoid culture knowledge, techniques, and applications. Participants performed hands-on experiments on the primary extraction of mouse intestinal organoids and the culture of tumor organoids, gaining essential skills in culturing both normal and tumor organoids. These skills are crucial for researchers aiming to efficiently cultivate organoids for scientific research. This session featured Professor ZHAO Bing from Fudan Organoid Center, who was invited to deliver lectures and share insights on organoid technology and its research applications with the participants.
Key Highlights:
► Based on bioGenous' Organoid Technology Handbook, the training course moved from broad overviews to in-depth details, systematically enhancing the participants' understanding of organoid technology.
►bioGenous technical experts provided comprehensive hands-on demonstrations, addressing the technical challenges and key points of attention during practical training.
►Participants engaged in hands-on practice, analyzing the growth status of organoids:
